On November 7th, 2018, BUS department held its Mid-Semester Gathering.
We took the time to come together and shared fried chicken. We also had a short information session for the upcoming semester.
Department Chair Jin-Wan Cho shared couple of important announcements regarding the course registration and course schedule for the Spring 2019 and internship during the winter.
After, we played fun games to give prizes that the department has prepared.
On November 10th, 2018, BUS Department hosted its 3rd outing. This time, we decided to go helping harvesting Korean cabbages at Peace House as community service.
We first met at school then went to the location together. After we got to the location, Peace House, we had fun time to harvest cabbages and to carry them. Although cabbages were heavy and harvesting was not easy, it was meaningful to help the volunteering organization and to get to know each other and spend time together.
On November 2-4, 2018, BUS Department hold Startup Camp Program with IBITP.
During this camp, the students were encouraged to pitch their ideas, form teams, discuss, and finally create a complete overview for their own startup.
Mentor professors were all around to help students and to give helpful advice, and all students successfully presented their final products.
There were total of 16 teams, and among those 16 teams, 6 teams were selected as final candidates. Their products will be sent to Technopark, and two of them will be selected to get sponsor!
On October 17, 2018, BUS department held its second BMS (Beautiful Mind Speaker) lecture series with the speaker Abroon Qazi, the assistant professor at SUNY Korea Business Management.
The main topic was risk management, which is considered as a vital process contributing to the successful outcome of a complex construction project in terms of achieving the associated project objectives.
